We passed out several hundred fliers at the Sen. Barrientos event last night

Out of several hundred people, only two individuals rejected our fliers.  That's an amazing response rate!  Some folks were super excited about Sen. Obama, and they can't wait for the next Meetup.

Congrats to Sen. Barrientos for a long and distinguished career representing Travis County.

Over 100 web hits this week

Our humble blog has now crossed the 100-hit milestone.  It's a small start, but it's hopefully the beginning of something special.

Spread the word about www.texansforoabama.com.  Please feel free to make fliers advertising our next Book Club Meetup and pass them out in your neighborhood.

Considering that we haven't done any major publicity advertising our blog, it's exciting to know that people are still finding our web site and checking out Texans for Obama.

That was a great feature.  They even covered Barack's hilarious spoof on Monday Night Football.  We'll try to have this KVUE video uploaded by tomorrow.

We should always thank the media when they take the time to cover the important issues of the day.  News stations don't always have the time to cover grassroots efforts, so please take a moment to thank KVUE 24 for covering local grassroots activism.  Their reporter, Elise Hu, was especially nice and professional, and we hope to see her again soon at one of our Meetups.
